ARTS FUND - Collaborative Fundraising Effort Introduced

WHAT IS THE ARTS FUND?

The Arts Fund is a collaboration among Arts Monongahela and the Greater Morgantown Community Trust to raise operational funds for community arts organizations. In creating the Arts Fund, Morgantown is joining the ranks of over 80 cities across the country that implement a similar model of community-wide fundraising for the arts.

WHY SUPPORT THE ARTS?

The arts have a $4.1 million impact on our local economy and make this area a more attractive community in which to live, work and raise a family (See Economic Impact Report). The vitality of our local arts community depends upon fundraising each year. The assistance provided by Arts Fund will allow partnering organizations more time to focus on offering first-class arts programming and services in our area.

Money raised by the Arts Fund will directly support the following organizations:

Appalachian Education Initiative
Arts on the River Festival
Mannette Steel Drums Foundation
Morgantown History Museum
M.T. Pockets Theatre Company
Morgantown Theatre Company
MAC - Monongalia Arts Center
MAA - Morgantown Arts Association
Morgantown Dance
Morgantown Writers Group

Simply make a check payable to Arts Fund - Arts Mon and send it to Arts Monongahela (P.O. Box 713) along with the following information:

Name, Address, Phone, Email, Whether or not you would like to be recognized for your donation or remain anonymous.
